My Tasks Guide

Track and manage your work with tasks

✅ What are Tasks?

Tasks help you track individual work items, to-dos, and action items. Whether it's following up with a client, completing a design revision, or preparing a quote, tasks keep you organized.

Tasks can be linked to projects, deals, and companies for complete context, and assigned to team members for collaboration.

👁️ View Modes

📋 List View

Traditional list format with sorting and filtering. Great for quickly scanning all tasks and bulk actions.

📊 Board View (Kanban)

Visual board with columns for each status. Drag and drop tasks between columns to update status.

📊 Task Statuses

⚪ Pending - Not started yet
🔵 In Progress - Currently working
✅ Completed - Finished
🔴 Blocked - Waiting on something
❌ Cancelled - No longer needed

🎯 Priority Levels

🔴 Urgent

Needs immediate attention

🟠 High

Important, do soon

🔵 Medium

Normal priority

⚪ Low

Can wait, nice to have

➕ Creating a Task

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → My Tasks
  2. Click "New Task"
  3. Enter a clear, actionable title
  4. Add a description with details
  5. Set the priority level
  6. Assign to yourself or a team member
  7. Set a due date (optional but recommended)
  8. Link to a project, deal, or company (optional)
  9. Click "Create"

📝 Task Details

Click on any task to see and edit its details:

  • Title & Description - What needs to be done
  • Status & Priority - Current state and importance
  • Assignee - Who's responsible
  • Due Date - When it's due
  • Start Date - When to begin
  • Progress - Percentage complete
  • Estimated Hours - Time estimate
  • Tags - Custom labels for organization
  • Comments - Discussion and updates
  • Links - Related project, deal, or department

🔍 Filtering & Search

Find tasks quickly with powerful filters:

  • My Tasks Only - Show only tasks assigned to you
  • By Status - Filter by Pending, In Progress, etc.
  • By Priority - Focus on urgent or high priority
  • By Assignee - See a team member's workload
  • Search - Find tasks by title or description

💡 Best Practices

  • • Write clear, actionable task titles (e.g., "Call John about quote" not just "Call")
  • • Always set a due date to stay on track
  • • Use priorities consistently across your team
  • • Link tasks to projects and deals for context
  • • Update status as you work - don't let tasks go stale
  • • Use comments to log progress and decisions
  • • Review your task list daily
  • • Archive or complete old tasks regularly
